375096 01: Librarian Megan McArdle displays some text August 3, 2000 from a book available on one of nine new Rocket eBooks available at the Chicago Public Library. In a continuing effort to promote reading among members of the video game generation, the library system is participating in a six-month experiment with the small hand-held computers that resemble oversized Palm Pilots and capable of storing 100 books in its memory.
